Young Adult Center FAQs

  • Our Young Adult Center is for those in 6th through 12th grade.
  • After-school programs happen from 3:30 to 5 pm Monday through Friday.
  • TN Kids Nutrition provides snacks most days; snacks in the YA Center are distributed at 4:00 pm, and to those leaving library property before 4 pm. Library staff is not in charge of which snacks are provided or what days they are given to the library. 
  • Fire Marshal limit is 25 people in the YA Center, including library staff.
  • Library Cards are required for the PlayStation 5 & Nintendo Switch Oled; one controller may be checked out per card.
  • Library PCs are for students in 6th through 12th grade whose parents have signed internet authorization forms.
  • On occasion, the YA Center will close early due to staffing or private events; signage & communication are provided to students on these days to keep them informed.
  • Students can pay fines at the Reference Desk; students can check out items at the downstairs Circulation Desk.
