I graduated from White House High School and attended Western Kentucky University. I also attained a Masters in Information Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Favorite authors include Rex Stout, Jane Austen, and Louise Penny.
Assistant Director
Michaela
Michaela Willbanks is the Assistant Director at the library, where she supports daily operations with a focus on human resources, finances, and overall organizational health. She has worked at the library for four years and is especially committed to creating a supportive workplace for staff while ensuring the library reflects the needs and voices of the community it serves. Michaela holds both a bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a focus on public administration and nonprofit management and a master’s degree in public administration with an emphasis in local government. Although she didn’t originally plan on a career in libraries, starting her first library job as a clerk in high school set her on a path she’s grateful for. Outside of work, she enjoys historical fiction, fantasy, and keeping up with book-to-screen adaptations.

Rose
Rose joined the library in June of 2012. She is a former teacher who loves to learn new things, meet new people, and help our community. Rose lives in Coopertown with her husband. She loves to read almost anything and hang with her 2 adult children.
Family Literacy Librarian
Ky'Asia
Ky'Asia is the Family Literacy Librarian and loves helping children and families develop a love of reading and learning. Outside of work, she enjoys playing games, taking naps, trying new foods, and listening to music. She’s a big fan of The Hunger Games and Percy Jackson series, and loves anything related to Spider-Man.
Young Adult Librarian

Hi, my name is Callie Vaden! I am the Young Adult’s Librarian and have worked at Stokes Brown Public Library since April of 2017. I handle acquisitions for the Young Adult collection; volunteering for ages 13-19; and all other programming aimed at students in 6th through 12th grade. I can also be found assisting with 2nd - 5th grade Homeschool Hour, and helping plan our new Murder Mystery nights! My favorite genres to read are sci-fi, fantasy, and romance; but I am also a big reader of political, historical, and religious nonfiction. Professionally, I love being able to express my artistic and creative nature in after-school programming; and assisting with designing graphics or flyers for library events. I graduated from Austin Peay State University with a Bachelor of Arts in English, and I hope to continue my education in the future with an MILS degree. I am a big fan of authors Travis Baldree (Legends & Lattes, Bookshops & Bonedust) and Olivia Dade (Spoiler Alert, ZomRomCom); and I love anime, manga, graphic novels, early 2000s pop-punk music, and iced coffee.

Mark has worked at the Library for nearly 17 years. He lives in Cedar Hill and took care of his grandmother for 17 years. He enjoys reading dystopian novels, 1984 being his favorite, streaming all kinds of shows, and enjoys video games. He is currently loving his Switch 2!
Circulation Supervisor
Will
Will Fisher is one half of the library Circulation Supervisor team, and he puts the “fun” in “library fundamentals.” Will is a third generation librarian and a seventh generation Tennessean, and he is proud to continue his family’s long history of public service in Tennessee. Will is currently enrolled in the Master of Library Science program at Middle Tennessee State University, and he graduated from Austin Peay State University in 2020. His favorite books include, but are not limited to, In the Name of the Rose, The Divine Comedy, and The Power Broker.

Rebecca is Assistant Circulation Supervisor and Cataloger. She enjoys gardening, reading, and the great outdoors.

Jana recently retired from Austin Peay State University after 30 years. She enjoys reading, crocheting, sewing, and crafting. She is owned by her two cats: Speedy and Snuggles.

Heather has worked for SBPL since 2015. In 2019, she obtained her position in Circulation & Acquisitions. Her favorite genres include horror, mysteries, and murder and mayhem.

Nancy
Nancy has worked at the Library for 23 years. In that time she has held multiple positions, most recently accounting and interlibrary loan. Murder mysteries is her favorite genre. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Cindy
Cindy is our primary cataloger and also a lifetime supporter of the library. She enjoys reading multiple genres and is a Harry Potter super fan. Cindy is also passionate about all things Disney.

Ginger
Ginger has worked at Gorham-MacBane for approximately 15 years. She also works at The Farmers Bank. She is married and has 2 sons; Jacob & Joseph. She really enjoys reading the Miss Julia series by Ann B. Ross as well as being a HUGE Harry Potter fan. Ginger enjoys the sounds of the ocean and of wind chimes, watching the sun set, and the smell of honeysuckle.

I am a retired middle school teacher. I came to Stokes Brown Library in August of 2015 when the new library was opened. My first 8 years was spent in the children’s library with Mrs. Rose and Ms. Pat and then I went back to teach in Robertson County for a year. When I returned, I began teaching the technology classes and also work at the Reference Desk most of the time. I love my job and the people I work with here at the Library.

Kris works as a clerk part-time and helps oversee various creative projects, as well as our Seed Library. In their fleeting free time Kris works on their dream of becoming an established character designer, taking pride in creating detailed characters and stories of their own. While not as avid a reader as in childhood, some of Kris' favorite books include the Percy Jackson series (Riordan), Scott Pilgrim (O'Malley), and No Longer Human (Dazai).

Nick is the 2nd nick at the library and has been working as a clerk for several months now. He is currently enrolled at University and is studying engineering with a concentration in mechatronics. Here at the library, he specializes in IT and helps process the Interlibrary Loan items. When he has free time, he enjoys drawing, piano, chess, anime, competing in fighting games (like Super Smash Bros.), running, gym, taking care of his Great Dane named King, and working on his droid R2-D2. Growing up, his favorite author was R.L. Stine and his favorite book series was Goosebumps. His favorite book genres are history, sci-fi, horror fiction, and biographies.

Dewey is a red-footed tortoise from South America. He'll live to be over 50 years old. He enjoys eating bananas, vegetables, and protein pellets. He also enjoys short strolls in the Story Time room, walks in the Children's Library garden, and pooping.
