How Do I ....

Anyone who lives in Robertson County or any adjoining county is eligible for a card at no cost.
In order to get a library card you need to bring in a Driver's License or Other State Issued ID with your current address on it.
If the address printed on your ID is not correct you can bring in mail or something else with your name and address on it.

Online

  1. To renew items online, click My Account.
  2. Log in using your Library card # (ex. 1SB000...) , and your PIN (MMDD)
  3. Click the "Account Activity" tab.  "Loans" will appear on the left.  When you click "Loans", every item on your account will be displayed.
  4. To renew your items, simply click the "Renew Loan" button for each item.
  5. Refresh the page to make sure that the item successfully renewed.
  6. If you get an error message, please contact the Library @ 615-384-5123.

Over the Phone

Call the Library @ (615) 384-5123 to renew items over the phone.
If we are closed, please leave a voicemail with your first and last name, date of birth, your library card number, and the items you wish to renew.


Renewal Policy

Most items may be checked out for 2 weeks and renewed two times if no one else has requested the item.
There are NO RENEWALS for HotSpots.

Interlibrary Loan  

Borrow items from participating libraries in the state of Tennessee by filling out a request form HERE.

 

Prints & Copies 
The first 5 black and white pages are free for Library cardholders
Black and white | 25 cents per copy
Color | 75 cents per copy

Faxes
It is $1 for each page faxed, receiving or sending.

Scanning
Scanning documents and/or photos is free.
Scans can be sent to an email address or saved on a flash drive.

Notary
Notary Services cost is $3.00 for patrons and $5.00 for non-patrons per document.  
Some restrictions apply

Hotspots are available to library card holders within Robertson County.

To check out a hotspot, see the upstairs reference desk. You will be required to sign the Hotspot Agreement Form.

The best way to inquire about reserving a room is to email us at: sbplsupervisor@gmail.com.
After confirming that the dates you require are available, you will need to print off and fill out pages 8 - 13 of the Room Use Agreement Form, and submit it to the Library in person or via email.

Mobile printing is 25 cents per page for black and white prints, and 75 cents per page for color prints.
  • When there’s a Tornado Warning, Staff will evacuate you to the Betty Daily Quiet Reading Room downstairs. If you do not want to shelter in place, you are free to leave the library. All programming will stop for evacuation. When the warning is lifted, normal library operations will resume.
  • When there is a Power Outage, computer & scanning usage, item checkout, charging stations, etc. will be unavailable. Programs may end early. After 30 minutes of an outage, Staff will ask you to vacate the library until power is restored.
  • When the WiFi is down, item checkouts are limited to five (5). Computer usage, card catalogs, and scan-to-email will be unavailable. Programs not relying on internet usage may continue.
  • When there is a fire, all library operations will stop immediately, and Staff and Patrons will exit the library through the nearest Exit. Exits are marked with signs.
